This video features 2 huge cows feet being trimmed, follows my life in agriculture working as a proffessional hoof trimmer ... not a veterinarian.

Huuuuuge thank you to Ridge Wallet for sponsoring me! Click the link at the top of the description and go get yours in time for Christmas!
I have yhe Carbon Fiber one, had for almost 1.5 now love it
You are an amazing man. We all know you don't want to hurt your animals. I know they're not your animals but you treat them as such. Keep up the good work Mr Graham Parker you are absolutely the best. I have watched other videos of people doing the same thing you do and you can tell that they don't love their animals as you do. Just keep up your work that's all I care about thank you.
Thank you for your content. Everything you do is cool. It shows how you care for your animals. You take care of these guys like they're yours. I only have two little bitty Toy Poodles I guess is what they would be called but I do anything for them. You treat your animals the same way. Anyways keep up the good work. I am the hoof GP . Army. As a matter of fact since I started GTR me I am the general. LOL. Let's see how we can make this concept grow.
After being supporters of your channel and seeing you talk about the ridge wallet so much, my fiancee kept saying that he wanted one as well. I surprised him with one for his birthday this month and he absolutely loves it! He does pizza delivery and needed something smaller to carry around in his pocket. Lucky for us, we got that 10% Hoof GP discount. Thank you for making my hardworking man a very happy man with a brilliant wallet.
I have a similar wallet by Trayvax and I love it. Small profile is so helpful. Its about 3 1/2 years old now and bit worn, so gonna check out the Ridge Wallet
I love watching your channels they’re so relaxing and you always got such a great attitude
The cows are lucky to have someone like you care for them. Bless you and RIDGE WALLET !!! I'm going to check them out !!! THANK YOU.
Ah man, you're too kind. Only someone like you could tug on a person's compassion doing a dirty job.
who even presses the thumbs down button!?
i like watching you work!
The thundering scorpion generically whine because protest biologically mend atop a weak smile. abhorrent, slippery point
Poor cows who cannot tell you they hurt. Do they know, Graeme, you who have helped?
does it bug any of you he never cleans off the hoof before trimming
YOU'RE A HERO !! To me and ALL the Cow's you treat :)
Need a wash first
I just realized after watching for years that you can see through the blade of the grinder
To be fair, he didn't always use these particular kind of blades on his grinders
And then they sweep up the trimmings and make Jello products!
A lot of people know little or nothing about farms or cattle. They can be wiley, skittish and downright contrary. She flinching for many reasons, she's being restrained for both your and her safety, the vibration of the grinder can both hurt and or tickle. Cows don't like change! So have a little patience and compassion for the animal and Mr. G.
I need a grinder like that to get the cheese off my balls
I’m starting to think all cows should wear waterproof boots. It seems like it’s impossible to keep their feet dry and clean and healthy.
Well over 95% of hooves are perfectly healthy, you just don't see them on here.
Got the wallet just because of your video! Hope hubby will love it as his Xmas present! Yay
Graeme, what kind of summary does the dairyman get from you? Does he get a copy of your spreadsheet? Do you pass along your suppositions about what's wrong with the cow's foot, or is that considered "stepping on the vet's toes" (scuse the pun)? Where's the line between trim and treatment?
They will get a full printout of every cow that's trimmed, including what, if anything is wrong, usually, the vet won't be involved with the feet anyway.
Giant enemy crab claws is what my mind sees.
2:59 there was small black dot\crack which he didn't clean it and put shoe on it. I was feeling so uncomfortable. I know he is the best in this and knows what's the best for the cow but I wanted that small dot to be cleaned
Thank you for introducing me to some amazing music over the course of your videos, man. Cheers!
hollo doctor... you clean first that food cows before you fix it
Hii
Is that Stevie investigating in the background?? What a cutie he is.
Everything you do I did all manually - flat files, cutters, trimmers, etc... Our crush wasn't as posh as yours either. It is so much faster with your equipment and probably better animal comfort too. Good show. Next time I am in Scotland I will look you up. PS - One advantage of doing everything manually I was in really good shape.
Funny story! We have a field over by house in the back lanes and since watching this ! I look strait at the feet , So on with the story , me and my partner were taking our children over the field and i see a cow limping , i said to the other half that cow if lame and needs to see the hoof gp , i swear he looked at me like i was an idiot . He then proceeded to say you watch too much youtube hahaha
Y'all know that the grinder doesn't have a sandpaper surface? More like a cheese grater. Not lying!
I love when a channel like this gets a sponsor, because i know that, that money is going towards helping even more animals that need help.
You said she was flinching.... I call that kicking!!
Why not show her walking away so we can see if she walks better
I love this video
Thank you for the video
This job must be a relief for your wife. I bet you don't feel even a little bit horny after a day on the crush.
country ally law
Awesome 😊 video.
I’m an equine barefoot trimmer in New Zealand but I love following your channel. Hooves are such fascinating things
Why is this post so short and your other post was 32mins long? Are you getting away from doing this one and gust doing your other post? I hope not.
You have been photo bombed
What do you do with your change with the ridge wallet???
When life takes a turn for the worst, I can count on two things. Hooves need trimming and sheeet quakes at the sound of the grinder.
I have a question. When a cow puts her foot down after you're done working on it, do you think they associate you with them feeling better?
Good job buddy like all the videos keep it up
Enjoyed the side by side comparison
I really wanted to see her walk after you were done..... darn it
Did u know hangus is outlawed here in the states, I love ur new house! 🧡❤️💙💛💚💜
Greetings from Texas. I've been watching for some time now and really enjoy your videos. I stumbled across your posting of December 13, 2019, Poor Cow has No Top Teeth. It was by far the BEST informative video I've ever seen on You Tube. So much information. You covered just about everything. Who knew there was a hierarchy among cows! I sure didn't. Keep up the good work, Graeme we all need to learn something new. Thank you
Awww. I like it when we see them walking more comfortably out of the crush. Probably not allowed to show the actual cows.
Great content, as always 👌
Wasn’t “doctor evil” (Austin powers arch foe) a trained vet? Seven years training!
alistair clement oh ok! Thanks. Good film. I get ten things wrong a day!
I believe he was a human doctor, he made a reference, in one of them, to evil medical school.
Stop talking about the wallet and show more of ur country lol
3 reasons I like your videos: Animals Learning Power tools
I would of thought you would trim the 'normal' side of the hoof first to ensure it was ok and sound, before going to trim the oversize hoof which may have a hidden problem. But i'm a armchair expert, and know that you doing a great job and helping these cows feel better. Nice video.
As ever top job FIRST CLASS !!!
I love to watch you work. So much care ❤ goes into it.
Graeme, have you ever had a mic on grinder to see for us the sound difference when its hollow like the first one,so we can tell? If not its good how you explain how you grind it which is bloody awesome.
Just wondering if there is a reason you don't wash off the shit before starting work on the hoof? it would just look so much better and more visually pleasing to the audience. For some strange reason I love your channel.
What happend with the Everything Gp update?
Good job ridge wallet love your product great channel to sponsor... also love how he did a great job on his work and explanation the problem. Next foot was a great example of a therapeutic trim
🌟🌟🌟🌟
Hello, I have a question, and I'll try to be as delicate as I can. Why does it seem like some of the farms you visit have shall we say a tidier look versus some farms that look like the poor cow is just walking through " YUCK"😖🤢 all day?? I feel bad for them🙁 I do enjoy watching your channel though!🙂
I love your videos and I love your attitude. You are absolutely a very kind and giving man. You take care of your animals like they are your kids. Came up the good work mr. Huph GP
Another great video !!! On the second cow; it was just overgrown? No underlying problem? And the million dollar question - why are they called “claws?” I was in the vocational agriculture program in high school and had several large livestock classes in which we studied both dairy and beef cows. Maybe I’m just old (LOL) however I don’t recall them being referred to as “claws”
The “Dew claw” too.
Question? Why don’t you rinse the hoods off before grinding? Is it just to have a better idea of how much your taking off or is it just unnessesary
Do you ever talk to the cattle and tell them what you're doing? And why you're doing it? And your hope for their health? If you do/don't is there a difference in results?
Very interesting, as always. Hopefully you will share a follow-up visit!
Those cows must be feeling so much better. I love how gentle and thorough you are. Keep up the great work!
What was wrong with the first foot that was going to require veterinarian intervention?
Can’t help wincing when the really bad spots appear. Thank goodness you are all about their comfort!
When one side of a cow's hoof gets large like that, will it eventually decrease to a normal size or is that the cow's new normal?
What is with the glow stick between the claws?
@Malien 1973 much appreciated
It holds the claws apart so he can trim in between easier. It is a tip from the glue tube that sticks the blocks on. 🙂☮️
Can someone let me know the name of the opening song and the singer please?
@Disneyholic1978 I know! I love their music!
@Heather Peters thank you! My new favourite band!
The song is called Fall Into You by the group Houses on the Hill. ❤
Strange question but if a cow's hoof isn't trimmed for a very long time will the inner part actually grow? Like when someone neglect a dog's nail and the inner part grows too much causing the nail to only be trimmed to a certain length
I always wonder why you heat up the hoof, before the glue and block?
Great job! Keep up the great work.
Did I miss what was wrong with the second cow's hoof? It looks great in the "after" picture, but I missed what was wrong to cause her to walk on her heel and thus cause the overgrowth. Anyone?
I keep thinking that I wish I could stand up front at their heads while you're working, pet & comfort them and talk to them...maybe feed them treats while they're getting their pain alleviated. They do know you are helping them. 🙏God bless you Hoof GP!
There’s often a cow in front. I guess that removes a lot of fear. If you’ve been through before, that must help.
@tosca donna oh! Thanks for correcting me. Did not know that. My compassion overflows sometimes.🥰
Prey animals don’t like to be petted. It’s pressure for them. They’re not like predators that like affection. They’re the opposite. Too much affection feels like an attack to them.
Love your channel
Is there a difference in the texture of cow and horse hoof material?
Love the ridge wallet,, it is a great wallet, so,small can’t carry junk..
Glad it was short, not that I don't love hearing your voice, but you have work to do! That house won't finish itself!!! Cheers! K.
You are such a inspiring young man with such a good out look on life. Are you generally happy all the time you seem so. Love your videos From USA
Always a good video.
I feel good when I see your video.🤗🤗🤗
Your work is amazing💜💜💜
I never knew a service like this existed. God bless this man meticulously cares for what must be very painful for the animals.. I wish him well and the animals he cares for. God bless you. 🤠
Why do they have issues on their hoof underneath what looks like good hoof growth? I’m sure I’m not the first to ask and I’m sorry for the repeat of information
Why do you wash some hoofs before trimming and not all? I’ve been watching for quite a few months, and this intrigues me.
He doesn’t wash most of them due to time constraints and the fact that they’re just gonna go traipsing through the mud right afterwards. He cleans the ones with big abscesses that he can’t see too well from what I can tell.
The music's nice and all but... really miss the drill going neyowwwwmmmm on the hoof, same when you use the knife and it has the soft peely sound
$75 for a wallet doe
🇪🇨👍
I don't know why but I love watching this stuff.
Oooh so much better. 👍👍👍
👍👌🇨🇦❤
I still haven't figured out why I subscribed to this channel until I watch flakes of hoof fly off and then I think to myself oh yeah that's why
All of your trims are therapeutic for me atleast. Good work GP, love seeing people have passion for animals
I like how he acknowledges that the cow is sometimes in pain. It's so easy for professionals to just get annoyed, however seeing that he acknowledges the pain that it's going through shows that he really does care for the animal and has it's best interests at heart.
Have to warn you that if the US EVER gets off Covid restrictions, we Yanks are going to want to stop & say hi. May I respectfully suggest that you set up several “Hoof GP Sign-In Logs” in your favorite local pubs, stores, etc. it will be great for tourist trade & keep us looky-loo’s from interfering w/your hoof trimming. I’d be delighted to sign in & leave you in peace & quiet! 👍♥️👍
Has anyone tried driving The Highlands? I did back in the 90’s. Not many places to stop and eat along the way. Just saying it’s not gonna be easy to do a “pop-in” 🙂. Plus I’m showing off I’ve driven a rental car across the highlands. Lol
At his mothers coffee shop in his village. No stalkers allowed.
Right?? Watching his videos has made me add Scotland to my bucket list of travels. It looks so beautiful and peaceful.
I love watching these. 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Really wish your videos showed more trimming like they used to and less chat and promotion of products :-(
So what was the problem with the first cow? Toe necrosis?
That's what I was thinking too!
